The 2nd Research Summit of Urban Science and Human Dynamics

Invited Speech | Panel Discussion | Poster Presentation

FOREWORD

In an era marked by the rapid proliferation of urban data, our ability to monitor and comprehend urban activities has been profoundly transformed. Despite these advancements, effectively utilizing this data to solve intricate urban problems—such as traffic congestion, pollution, and social segregation—remains a formidable challenge.

The 2nd Research Summit of Urban Science and Human Dynamics aspires to dive deep into discussions on how emerging urban big data can be harnessed to derive profound insights into contemporary urban landscapes and address tangible urban challenges. A focal point of this summit will be the exploration of the application of cutting-edge technologies, such as generative AI, digital twins, and LLM agents, in urban science. These sophisticated intelligent systems possess the potential to significantly augment our capabilities in analyzing urban data, modeling human dynamics, and generating actionable insights.

We are privileged to host distinguished experts from around the globe in the domains of urban science, computational social science, and human dynamics, who will engage in stimulating discussions. Over the course of two days, the summit will feature an array of invited talks and panel discussions, where leading researchers will present their latest findings, innovative approaches, and practical solutions. These sessions are designed to foster engaged discussions on the complex issues surrounding global urban dynamics and urbanization, offering attendees the opportunity to interact face-to-face with top researchers in the field. In addition to the enriching talks and discussions, the summit will also include poster demonstrations, providing researchers with a platform to showcase their work and engage in meaningful dialogue with their peers.
